aspire .... These photographs were taken in the Spring and summer of 2012, in a new studio built after my previous work space was destroyed by a tornado. This body of work was initially meant to be sculptural made of panels and doors standing on the floor and leaning against the wall. I painted and assembled the panels in sometimes precarious ways where they collapsed. To recall and continue a work I started to photograph it. The beautiful natural light of the studio and the transformation to two dimensions was a revelation. The photographs became the end product. They are variable in size, the larger being 72 inches high. Those presented here are 35x15 inches printed with archival inks.
